Basics of type 1 diabetes mellitus

  • Diabetes mellitus means “honey-sweet flow”
  • Type 1 diabetes mellitus is a chronic, incurable disease
  • A person cannot live without insulin

  • Causes: Predisposition, obesity, lack of exercise, other diseases, etc.
  • Frequency: often older people
  • Therapy and treatment: healthy nutrition, exercise, tablets, intestinal hormones, insulin
